| The following fees & policies are for Flick Vocal Studio in Baton Rouge, LA. For fees and policies at Center Stage Performing Arts Academy in Gonzales, LA please call (225) 644-2424 or visit www.centerstagepaa.com Flick Vocal Studio Tuition Current rates are $25 for a half hour lesson and $50 for an hour lesson. All lessons are private, there are currently no group classes offered. Tuition may be paid at the beginning of each month or per lesson. If a student is habitually absent or late in payments, they may be required to submit tuition at the beginning of each month. Attendance Regularity and consistency are important to your vocal progress. Please be on time and ready to sing, with your voice lightly warmed up if possible. Lessons generally work on a tight schedule, so if you are late for a lesson we probably will not be able to extend your lesson past your scheduled time slot. Canceling a Lesson If you must cancel your lesson for any reason, I require at least 24 hours notice. Emergencies happen, and I always try to understand such instances. If you have a sudden emergency, please let me know as soon as possible. Please note that I try not to answer my phone during lessons, so you should leave a message. Acceptable excuses for missing a lesson include sudden serious illness, genuine emergency, and car breakdown. Unacceptable excuses include scheduling difficulties, conflicting appointments or rehearsals, traffic delays, and the like. Please plan accordingly. If you have been ill throughout the week leading up to your lesson and are unsure as to whether or not you should sing, please call me. Your vocal health is one of my top priorities. Payment for Missed Lessons Please note that without 24 hours notice, or a reasonable excuse within 24 hours, you are still responsible to pay for the lesson that you miss. Make-up Lessons If I need to cancel a lesson for any reason, I will offer you a chance to reschedule. If you miss a lesson for any reason, I will do my best, but make- up lessons are not guaranteed. Stay Organized! I recommend a three ring binder dedicated to your vocal repertoire, exercises, and other materials. You will use it to keep your music organized and to store your lesson and practice records and other handouts I may give you. Students will be expected to buy their own music as needed. Stay Healthy! Whatever is good for your body and mind is also good for your voice and singing. Stay healthy and physically active. Eat well, get enough rest, and try to include a program of exercise and movement in your daily routine. Practice Regularly Your lessons are only one element of your total vocal program. Without regular practice, you will not make progress. I will always try to be clear about your realistic vocal goals and I will always explain how the exercises I give you will help you reach them. It is your responsibility to practice and make that happen. This is where the real improvement happens... Try to practice at least: 10 to 14 years old – 20 to 30 minutes every day 15 and up - 45 to 60 minutes every day My Commitment to You I promise to work as hard as you do! If you attend your lessons consistently, if you bring your sense of discipline (and your sense of humor) to the lessons, and if you practice on a regular basis, we will do good work together, you will improve, and I will do everything I can to help you with your vocal progress. |
